Well I think I've kept up the Cake Stop image of Road Cyclists. Whilst working in London this week unfortunately I couldn't bring my bike down to the big smoke. So today I hired one of the Boris Bikes and did laps around Regents Park.

Here I am in jeans and Gore Wear coat, jeans cycling clockwise round Regents Park Outer Circle, desperately trying to work out the best way to hold the shopping basket to get the most aero position, whilst pro looking lycra clad types are going the opposite direction on their carbon wanders. It made me wish I'd brought my Assos lycra shorts.

I recon I did 4 laps and 13 miles on the Boris bike. It brought a smile to my face and a sweat to forehead. :D

PS. And I stopped at all red traffic lights.

Best aero position is to put your elbows in between the bull horns and your hands either side of the front 'sail'.

Really annoying how cycling is discouraged in the parks. :(

The commuters would love that story.

They're virtually all Londoners anyway, innit.

Not a latte but I headed into St Johns Wood (cheapest car on the street was an Audi A8) had pasta and a macchiato. 8)

That's the position, but I needed a bike fit, the saddle was a bit too far forward, the hands on the sail helped to push my but back off the back of the saddle.

I even had a communter sucking my wheel - I dropped him
