I wanted a Trek 5 series frame but its not available until march which im unhappy about, the finish I want is available as a complete bike but comes with DI2 which I dont want to use, Tried DI2, love it but would rather use mechanical ultegra.
What would the DI2 fetch If I was to remove the front and rear mech, battery, and all the cables and charger for the DI2 system?
If I get this model I can get it as soon as my mountain bike sells and as soon as I get it strip off the DI2 if its worth me doing then buying the ultegra parts to complete a mechanical conversion.

do a completed sales search on ebay for di2 and it will bring up what bits sold for in the past.0

A tidy 2nd hand set uf Ultegra Di2 goes for about £7000

I only found this
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/120988178610?nma=true&si=2cPyVYzbWl0NmDgtrsAFhyQ8LC8%3D&rt=nc&_trksid=p4340.l2557&orig_cvip=true
but that includes cranks and brakes that wont be included.
so are we looking around £700 for the front and rear mechs, sti levers, battery and wires?MADONE 5.20 -
forgot to add this would be brand new as soon as the bike comes in the shop ill pull the DI2 parts off it.MADONE 5.20

I don't know the bike in question, but I assume it has the appropriate stops / holes / whatever for a mechanical groupset... worth checking before you strip it down.
Seems like a lot of hassle to get the right colour...0 -
its the trek madone 5.9, I wanted just the frameset at 2k but they wont be instock until march with trek.
but the 5.9 is the same colour, slightly better wheels and DI2 for an extra £700, the madone 5.2 colours are abit marmiteMADONE 5.20 -
