I am saving up for a new light fr/heavy XC bike - as a on off treat
This is what i have right now on my list of parts:
Banshee scythe frame - (mystic as they are called in the UK)
Rock Shox Totem RC2 DH Coil Taper Forks 2012
Saint rear deraliuer
Shimano Saint M810 Double & Bash Chainset
Shimano XT M771 10 Speed MTB Cassette
Shimano Saint M820 1x10 Speed Trigger Shifter
Mavic 2013 EX729 Disc MTB Rim * 2
Shimano SLX M665 Top Swing 2x9 Front Mech
Shimano Saint M810 2x9 Speed Trigger Shifter - LH front
Please note I am looking for the most durable parts/tough
This is what i need to find
- wheels - just the hubs now
- disc brakes - got to be reliable and for long braking time - possibly a mechanical on back, hydraulic on front combo?
EDIT: updated parts list
EDIT 2: updated parts list - again

The most durable wheels are going to be very heavy - something like Mavic EX729 rims.
What ratio front rings do you have? Also what type of rear axle?0 -

hmm i would like a lever that is full length not those single finger ones0 -
Can easily fit two fingers on the M810 brakes. They're very nice brakes as well.0

I have the lesser M800's (M765 XT's in a different colour) and can put it up on the front wheel with 1 finger, the 4 pot callipers add longevity and consistency (which is why I suggested them based on your stated usage)Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0
