Hi all,
Yes, just as the nights are drawing in, and the weather is turning I have decided to start commuting
I need some help with a bike someone I knows mate is selling this scott hybrid. Problem is I can't identify it at all (see attachment)
It says Sportster p5 I think, but having looked through about 20 websites I still can't find it.
Is it so old that its not listed? He wants £80 for it.
Thanks in advance, Daz.

I can't say that I can identify the model my the shape of the frame, but 'Sportster P5' is a real Scott model - I have a P45 which is a P4 with disc brakes.
Mine is a 2008 though and I'd say the one in the picture is an older version (none of the hydroformed tubes etc that mine has).
So it's old, and pretty basic, but if it works and it's the right size £80 is pretty good value for any bike IMO.Scott Sportster P45 2008 | Cannondale CAAD8 Tiagra 20120 -
Thanks Gizmo,
Went to see it and the gears were buggered. Im looking at a 2006 Sub 40 now for £100. Not sure I need suspension tbh....although I do see a good few riding who have obviously locked their fronts for the commute.
I can always try and replace if I don't like I suppose.
