I'm going to ask a really ridiculous question
I normally beetle up CS7 and from Colliers Wood to Stockwell the traffic is pretty much stationary. The stationary traffic frequently lets opposing traffic through to turn right into side streets. Am I obliged to stop too or do I have the right of way? I've come screeching to a halt a couple of times

+1 on the previous post. I always approach these turnings with caution and expect the worst. Bear in mind that in a queue of traffic the turning vehicle might not be able to see you approaching, and if the queuing car has flashed them they may take that as it being safe to turn across.
Also we are all road users and a bit of courtesy never does any harm in the ongoing saga of cyclist/motorist relations. Costs nothing to give way occasionally.0 -
