Rumour has it my new road bike does not comply with UCI standards, but I like the ride so I'll keep it for commuting.

That's pretty cool, what sort of speeds can that get up to?0
-
You should paint it black, Batman would.0

My Mrs has a smaller version of that. She got it from Ann Summers.Insta: ATEnduranceCoaching

How much smaller?0 -

While commuting, I ride 45~50 km/h. Haven't used it in a race yet.

Yeah it does look like it might be a bit of a pig going uphill! Wouldn't mind giving one a go one day just to see how fast it would go. Shame Obree's attempt never really got off the ground.0

Where do you keep it at the end of the commute? How do your colleagues react? It looks like a lot of fun to ride.0

Many colleagues are curious, but they like it. When it's raining, they're jealous ;-)

Have you got any pictures of what it's like inside, I'd be intersted to see the field of vision you get and see what it looks like in there.0

Riding that, I'm surprised that you have oneScience adjusts it’s beliefs based on what’s observed.

Show us the cockpit!0

type velomobile into youtube, loads of videos on there, quite impressive!0

This is the cockpit. Here you see the steering handles and Ackermann mechanism, lower end of the seat, GPS and the pump. While riding, the pump is connected to a horn near the foot hole in the front bottom of the bike.
The rear end of the cockpit. The red bag on the right side of the rear wheel contains my office clothes, the one on the left contains the rooftop while riding "cabrio mode". Also visible are the carbon ribs laminated into the aramid shell.
This is my view when riding "cabrio"...
... and with the rooftop.
This is the bottom. Yes I did touch quite a few speed bumps. That is why it is made of aramid

Lets face it, it's not like riding a road bike all lycra'd up makes you a sex god either!0 -
Looks like loads of fun!0

Nice indeed to see a velomobile on here. I regularly ride with one of the two (AFAIK) UK owners of a WAW- his is also the RAW version. Back last November, he'd ordered it but had a heavier loaner version (his own bike being delayed), and along with some other guys I know rode down to Brighton alongside the Veteran Car Run. The WAW was getting more attention than some of the cars. And as for the speed: pulling away from them even when they were doing 40 mph downhill.... He rode 300 miles down to Lands End in 21 hours overall, regularly does 18-19 mph runs...
I'm having a go sometime. Might be bad for the bank balance.Dahon Speed Pro TT; Trek Portland
