Anyone regularly commute 20miles+?

I moved back to my parents' in Herts for a few weeks and did 24.5mi each way twice a week.

Honestly, I found it boring for the most part. Crap roads, no other cyclists to race/spar with and took a while too. My setup wasn't quite right either and whereas I'd got away with a slightly off setup doing between 9 and 14 miles each way before, the sheer mileage meant that any slight twinge was magnified. Knees felt like shite by the end of it, my back hurt and it sucked all the fun out of it.
