Shimano bike - help

Hello,

I have been offered a shimano racer (attached). Not sure of the year etc and the owner doesnt know many details? I don't know anything about them and can't find anything online. Were they any good? Anything to watch out for? Anybody know what year/ model this might be?

Could just be a Raleigh, resprayed with Shimano decals on it. Looks very mid 90s. If it fits ya, feels okay and the price is something you're happy with then go for it.

Have a look over the bike and post any name you read off. We can then give you an idea of the quality of wheels/groupset/components.
