Back wheel stolen

Stopped at the local pub last night and had my back wheel stolen. To say I was annoyed would be an understatement.

They had a good go at the main lock but couldn't get through it but they still took my back wheel. Just shows you should lock everything down even if you think you're somewhere busyish and safe. Lesson learned.

The annoying this is that I'd bought a new cassette about three weeks ago.

Now I have to go out and buy replacements. At least they didn't get the whole bike. Just expensive at a time where we're about to go on a family holiday. I know I probably should get a new front wheel and tyre as well but I can't afford it.

And I'm in trouble from the wife for nipping to the pub when I told her I was on my way back home!!!

Check the house very carefully... maybe the missus stole the wheel as payback for going to the pub

We have a £200.00 excess...so yes, definitely not claiming.

Once had a water bottle I'd won in the local press stolen, whilst visiting the JC back in the 90s. From that point onward I used none quick release seatpost clamp, fasten the back wheel to the frame and the locking post and took the front wheel inside with me. I never leave anything removable on the bike now, too many fucking assholes out there.
