rear mech

Hi,
The rear mech on my wife's bike was totalled today so I am looking for a replacement. It's an intro MTB bike (Marin Coast Trail 2011), and the current rear mech is a cheapie Shimano Altus http://www.parkersofbolton.co.uk/p-81-s ... -m310.aspx .
However, on my search for a replacement 7/8 speed rear mech and for £5 more, I found the Alvio model http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mode ... elID=30990 . As it's just a few pounds more, it seems a decent upgrade, but is there any other fitment issues I need to consider before I order it? (bike shifter is Shimano EF51 EZ-FIRE plus, 7 speed)
Thanks
Tom

Nope either will work fine. I doubt she'd notive the difference shifting, but the Alivio looks nicer.I don't do smileys.
