Got about £250 to spend on a new set of XC/AM wheels for my Boardman, according to the spec it's 15mm axle front/12mm axle rear - http://www.boardmanbikes.com/mtb/fs_pro.html
It's currently got a set of XM317's on which seem decent, but I'd like some better hubs, and hopefully something a little lighter overall, any recommendations please?

You can get Stan's Arch EX on Switch Evo's for £250ish
You can also get Stan's Crests on the same hubs for £200

Weigh the wheels if you can - might be lighter than you think.0

Thanks for the replies, I was looking at the Crest's on Superstar, but was a little worried that Stan's website shows them as unsuitable for AM use - http://www.notubes.com/ZTR-Rims-C18.aspx
Supersonic, not TOO bothered about weight loss, just have an extra £250 of disposable income this month, and thought I'd use it to treat the bike, lol!0 -

Then go for the Arch EX - rated as an AM wheel and heavier...win-win"Why have that extra tooth if you're not using it?" - Brian Lopes

But they're an extra eighty quid on Superstar over the Crests, and I'm tight, ha ha!0 -
The standard wheels are very good... Why change? What's your reason apart from just having cash?0
-
You're tight yet you want to spank £250 on some wheels. Doesn't compute, what he said^^^^0
-
OK, not tight, more sensible, got the spare cash, but would rather spend as little of it as possible.
Would the Crests be much weaker than the Arches? Probably 80% of my riding's XC and trail centre's, the other 20% being rougher stuff.
As for changing, just fancy treating my bike as I've got some spare cash, and thought some wheels would be ideal.0 -
I've got some Olympics, ride pretty much what you do and they are holding up just fine.0

Are the Olympics an older version of the Crests?
Think I might just go with the Crests and keep my current wheels as spares.0
