Huh? What's wrong with the current wheels - I've never heard anyone try and match wheels to tyres before.

  • With the schwalbe durano performance MTB being a slick i thought it will need
suitable wheel size, i will prefer to have 2 sets of wheels one off road and one on road

Depends on what wheels you have. It's often quicker to change tyres over than wheels as you'll normally have to adjust the brakes and index the rear mech.

Unfortunately not, the rotors and cassette are always going to be slightly out, and it only takes a mm or so to throw things out.
What size are the tyres? Your rims are fairly thin so it's likely they would fit.

  • It's only ever a quick wheel change if you have identical hubs, cassettes & discs on both sets of wheels.
Just swap tyres or get a cheap second hand hybrid or road bike for the road.

Even then you'll be lucky if they're perfect.
