It's not quite that simple hence the reason post mount is a bad idea.I don't do smileys.

now I am also guessing that the bolts are not the correct length either.
DO NOT ride the bike.
what are the bolt lengths?"Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Thats exacly what I've got... or what I had before removed the bottom roundy washer from both as it was causing play.
What exactly is the point of it? If it's secure, it's secure?0 -
Let me guess. Bolts in the wrong holes.I don't do smileys.

Nope.
Ive followed the diagram apart from a difference in the use of washers. The big bolt that goes on the top one was too long without the washers so I used two.
The bottom one wouldn't thread with the three washers and went in all the way with just the black one.0 -
Have you got the mount on the right way up?!0

I'm surprised that no one has noticed that this adapter is on the wrong way around.
The little arrow in the middle of it should be pointing upwards.Ive followed the diagram apart from a difference in the use of washers. The big bolt that goes on the top one was too long without the washers so I used two.
The bottom one wouldn't thread with the three washers and went in all the way with just the black one.
Turn the adapter around, put the long bolt in the top hole and put the short bolt in the bottom hole.
The concave/convex washers should then fit on as they are supposed to.0 -
Doh!
I did check last night and the arrow was pointing up....but in hindsight...the bike was upside down!0 -
And it also was not working perfectly like you said.0

I'll sort it out tonight...for the las time I hope.
Good thing I didn't thrash it at Cannock today
Thanks for all your help guys! It's been a roller coaster!0 -

It was...there was no rubbing or strange noises and the caliper was aligned and still is and it was braking as I'm guessing it should!
But thanks alot to the guy with the diagram!0
