Importing .TCX files to Garmin 500

Trying to find out how to upload a tcx file (from a sportive organiser) onto my Garmin Connect & Garmin 500. Theyre just route files but I cant seem to find how to upload it onto the system. A manual upload wont accept it as its not an activity but a route.

simple way without too much fannying about is to go to http://bikeroutetoaster.com/Course.aspx and upload the tcx and the click the summary tab and click the send course to device.

When you manually upload it to the Garmin are you dropping it in the courses folder? Never had a problem doing that myself.0

I have trouble with this too.... Never works for me as described when downloading sportive courses0
