Hi
My Bryton HRM belt has ceased functioning. Wiggle are being a bit funny about its return. To save a lot of hassle, would another brand's HRM belt be compatible with my Bryton Rider 50 and Cardio 35 watch? If so, what would you recommend? The Bryton belt seems to eat through batteries like anything!
Thanks in advance.

Any ANT+ belt will work. I get the impression that the delux style (eg the more expensive Garmin and Bryton belts) are not that reliable. I think one of my Bryton HRM belts has given up as well. I'd be tempted to go for the cheaper Garmin type for longevity. Not sure the battery life will be any better though.Faster than a tent.......0 -
To tag onto this question, I have a Bryton rider 40 which has been great but I'm looking to get a cadence sensor. Will any Ant+ sensor work? I've seen one in Decathlon which is only £16 but their website states it only works with their own bike computer. I was under the impression I could get any but don't want to waste money in trying out a supposed bargain.0

They can't have it both ways! Either it is ANT+ and works with any ANT+ computer or it isn't ANT+ and therefore won't work with any ANT+ computer!
Edit - checked the object. Decathlon certainly are confusedMuddled Cycle store wrote:Compatibility

An odd looking thing - does cadence and speed so a bargain price but the cadence sensor seems to have to fit close to the crank axle so you might not be able to use neodymium magnets with it. There is a much more expensive Minoura version - pic on this page of how it is set up - http://www.tredz.co.uk/.Minoura-Ant-Liv ... =Froogle02
How about this Bontrager one as an alternative for £20?

The Bontrager one looks much better, I'll look at getting one of those instead, thanks for that0
