Turbo Trainer Resistance

Does anyone know what the standard resistance of a non-variable turbo trainer is??

Is it equal to the lowest setting on a variable resistance model?

I am looking to purchase a second trainer, for the wife, and was just looking at picking up something quite cheap... she probably won't use it :roll:

no

sounds like a fluid trainer, these don't need any adjustment

to get higher resistance, you simply shift to a higher gear

in low gear, resistance is light

in high gear, it's really really high
