hello I got this allez in late 2009 on c2w for £625 did use it a huge amount but this year have been really getting into it this sunday Im doing the BHF from bath to bournemouth 80mile sportive - cant wait!
the bike is by no means perfect and I plan to continue with the upgrades, Ideally I want to get a kuota Kharma ultegra but thats a fair way off yet so this will have to do!
Frame: specialized alloy
Forks: FACT carbon with alloy steerer
Bars: specialized
Stem: specialized
Bar Tape: specialized
Front Brake Lever: shimano 105
Front Caliper: sora
Rear Brake Lever: 105
Rear Caliper: sora
Shifters: 105
Cables: shimano
Front Mech: sora
Rear Mech: tiagra
Seat: specialized rival 143
Seat Post: specialized
Chainring(s): sora compact double
Chain: 105
Cassette: tiagra 10sp
Pedals: 105
Wheelset: kinnetic K1
Tube: continental race
Tire: michelin lithion 2
Accessories:
cateye velo wireless computer,
cadence monitor for garmin forerunner 305
Ive been really pleased with the bike especially since putting the 105 shifters on and the new wheels which I managed to get 2nd hand fleybay for £49 delievered!
I didnt realise how bad the bottle cages looked until I looked at this pic, I knew I needed some more and had planned on some elite ones but I just didntrealise how badly I needed them!
I'd like to get an ultegra chainset and then at least 105 brakes and mechs but tbh it all works at the moment so I probably wont bother unless anything breaks
other welcome future additions will be stem and seatpost but I havent quite decided what I want yet
hope you like it as a budget bike

do like the Allez, bought mines as a bog standard bottom of the range bike and slowly have changed everything on it....only the frame and bars are original lol
used as a winter/wet weather/training bike its the only one ive not sold....i think id cry if it went to be fair...weird as its the cheapest one ive had! done some fair amount of suffering on it so thats maybe why!0 -
