I recently started using SPDs on my mountain bike. I bought some DHB shoes, but unfortunately ripped one of the velcro straps off necessitating a new pair.

I'm after a durable pair that are good to walk in and I can use all year round. I have narrow feet. I will use them every day.

I've got my choice down to:

Giro Code

Shimano MO87 Shoes

Any comments from owners or more experienced MTBers welcome. Also any comments on fit too would be appreciated.

Thanks

  • Shimmys are good. 87's are old hat now and you can get hold of MO88 (2013) look a bit like the old m183. If you have wide feet the mo88 and m162 have wide toes boxes and how they fit on the day is generally how they stay. Not tried the others. There is also an xc30 coming out (all velcro) looks a bit like a winter construction? but I've not seen it yet.
  • ...........Although with narrow feet you possibly know which ones not to get mail order!
