Fork with lockout

Aye up you lot, I'm a roadie but I own a Diamondback DBR1 hard tail. One reason I don't ride it much (about 150mile in 4 years) is 'cos the fork has no lockout.
Could any of you fine fellows recommend a XC fork with lockout that's air sprung with 75-100mill of travel please. Don't want to spend too much if that's possible.

Thta's not a great reason. I don't know many people who actually use lockout off road.
How much is too much?I don't do smileys.

What brakes do you run, and also what axle type? (probably 9mm QR).0

£200ish would be as much as I'd be prepared to spend. If this is not enough is there any others that you would reccomend?Tail end Charlie

Been an had a look, the current fork is a rock shock recon xc, the brakes are quad QHD-1 sting pro. The hub is LX.
An alloy steerer would be fine.
If my buget is silly (too small) just say I really have no idea on MTB stuff.Tail end Charlie

What diameter steerer, what type of brake mount to the forks? Not what brands they are!
Why do you (think) you want a lockout so much and will ride it more with?
A well controlled fork really doesn't need lockout, that is a cheap fork with lockout is worse than a decent fork without even on road.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0 -
Which model though - I think they were either coil or air?
By fittings SS meant disc or caliper brakes, and steerer size, eg 1 and 1/18"
Decent forks, I go back to my original question, why?
Personally I wouldn't spend anything just to get lockout.I don't do smileys.

Having read the comments I'm thinking now I perhaps ought to play about with the current forks rather than "invest" in something possibly not so good but with lockout.
The reason I wanted lockout was for when riding on tarmac sections between off-road rides. To do away with the bounce on the smooth stuff which is energy sapping.Tail end Charlie

It is possible to fit a lockout cartridge to the fork. Do they have the gold coloured stanchions?

The lockout is not 100% though, they are designed to still move 20mm.0 -
