A few questions on the title above.

What difference will they make to riding i.e. faster I'm guessing ?

How much would I expect to pay for a pair ?

What about the cheaper carbon wheels you get from China on ebay ?

Are all carbon wheels compatible with my bike (Trek 3.1)

Any other relevant info I should know ??

Cheers

What about the cheaper carbon wheels you get from China on ebay ? What about them?! There's a huge long thread about them. Read it!

Any other relevant info I should know ?? Yes - clincher or tub, high profile or low profile or medium profile. You need to know what sort of riding you do in what sort of weathers, you need to know how fast you cycle and how hilly your rides are. You probably need to read the existing threads on carbon wheels; there's a few of them......

You will get split advice on the topic... some will tell you they are amazing, some others will tell you they are OTT junk and not for you... the topic has been done to death and the result is a split decision.
I belong to the lot saying they make no sense outside the racing environment... there is a rather informative thread in the "general" section... read through it

As pointed out, if you scroll down the pages in this section, you will find the rather long topic on Chinese carbon wheels too, plenty of read there

Lighter wheels won't make you faster as much as more training and a decent bike fit will... :)

They'd be wasted on a low level Trek tbh
