Looks like cheap Reba, anything wrong with this?

The RLT has adjustable floodgate which allows further tuning - but the RL version can be had for £280

May be 2012 Rockshox Revelation RLT 15mm Axle 150 is better option. Im prepare to spend 30q more.

Still need to upgrate weels and brake and shifter, at least for front weel, since current model is vbrake.

What bike is it for - by the time you've spent that much a new bike might be cheaper.

if you get new wheels you would need to get the 15mm hub version.

What is the bike? 150mm from 80mm is likely to be far too much.

Its hardtail Merida TFS700v, 2008 I think, yea, I know, not so popular brand here in UK.

The bike is mostly for local xc routes and for everyday commuting/afterwork routes use. Some parts of the routes are quite nasty. Also this gonna be bike for my nefew for dayouts in LakeDistrict and similar, last time jorney 10h to helvellyn prooved that 120 sus is not enought.

I know Im going to spend about 500 for upgrade. Ive checked new bikes, but most sub 1k models comes with very basic suspention, so a lot more to spend for decent sus anyway. And, common Ive got 3 bikes already, get 4th :oops: ?

I went from a Dart 3 to a Reba RL Dual Air. It transformed the bike and was well worth it.

Only to 100mm Reba's though. Nothing too extreme.

Unfortunately all QR Rebas are out of stock. and 15mm weels are expencive.

You cannot fit forks over 100mm to that bike. if you want to hit routes harder, and need more suspension, then you will need a new bike.

It's not designed for that travel. It will break and you will die.
On a more practical note it would destroy the handling.

The frame is designed for the stresses of a 60-100mm fork. 150mm will have too much leverage, the seat angle will be well out of whack - it will ride awful.

Thanks, supersonic, Ive noticed that frame angles the fork quite narrow, comparing to canyon, may be will be simplier to get some single air vbrake fork, or leave it and try to sell the bike.

Take a look at superstar components if you do decide to go with a 15mm reba. They do seperate front wheels or wheelsets cheaply, with no extra charge for 15mm adaptors

Ordered RST Platinum V brake compatible, for this price the quality should be ok. also this will save me from additional expencies on weels changing, drakes and shifters.
