Hi
i need to replace the freehub pawl spring on my racing 7's as its snapped. Is there a correct way to fit it?

  • Place your pawls into the freehub with some light oil on them (don't use grease, it'll make them stick in), hook the end of the spring into the hole in the freehub then carefully work round pushing the spring into place down the groove in the freehub/pawls. Put some more light oil in the freehub before re-assembly and some grease on the plastic waterproofing flange to try and inhibit water ingress. Best thing to do is take it off once a month and re-apply oil as the springs corrode quickly with winter riding.
