Just picked up a new bike (well new to me anyway)

2008 focus cross disc which will be the commuter, its fitted with 25mm marathon plus and has no eyelets for a guard or racks.

I don't use a rack so not bothered about that but what i do want is to fit some guards. Crudracers wont fit and am wondering if SKS raceblades will do the job.

thoughts? suggestions?

  • I've got raceblades (I think) on my day one cross, they do a reasonable job

    you what now
Rule #5 // Harden The Feck Up.
Rule #9 // If you are out riding in bad weather, it means you are a badass. Period.
Rule #12 // The correct number of bikes to own is n+1.
Rule #42 // A bike race shall never be preceded with a swim and/or followed by a run.
  • unhelpful thoughts - should have bought a Boardman CX

helpful thoughts crud roadrace or sks raceblade
  • Nope, the SKS raceblades are your best bet.
As a mudguard Nazi having put up with full-length longboards, I'd go back to raceblades 'cos they're dead easy to take off and on. I never thought I'd hear myself say that
