I was reading the Bike Radar article on best road wheel upgrades
http://www.bikeradar.com/road/gear/article/best-road-wheel-upgrades-34661/ I understand that wheels are thought of as one of the most significant upgrades you can make, the above article selects wheels in the £400 - £600 range for upgrading an entry level bike. Now if you had spent £600 - £700 on an entry level bike, would you spend another £400 - £600 6 or 12 months later on some decent wheels? Wouldn't you need a better frame as a base point to get the best out of this price wheel?
Are there any decent wheel upgrades sub £200 that might be better suited to an entry level bike?

Mavic Aksiums can be had for under 200. Don't think I could justify spending more on a 600 quid bike.English Cycles V3 | Cervelo P5 | Cervelo T4 | Trek Domane Koppenberg0

Don't upgrade. Ride up grades. Then when your current wheels are worn out, buy some Ambrosio Excellight on Novatec hubs to replace them, £255 inc postage from Harry Rowland. Not the lightest wheels out there but it won't matter.CAPTAIN BUCKFAST'S CYCLING TIPS - GUARANTEED TO WORK! 1 OUT OF 10 RACING CYCLISTS AGREE!0
