I have went as long as possible but now after a bottle and a half of wine I feel I HAVE to comment!
I have noticed clothing in the "For Sale" section which baffles me.
Clothes, particularly Rapha stuff which is selling for good money but is in what I consider poor condition. People buying clothes with "staines" on them and people selling clothes with smells in the pits
Personally I would rather save the extra 30-40 pounds and buy new stuff.
What am I missing???

I personally wouldnt buy used clothing, but it makes no matter to me if others do, as it shouldnt to you. So next time you feel the need to drink a bottle and half of wine leave your PC switched off.0 -

To be fair to the OP I dont think they mentioned that he was against buying second hand per say, but why buy colthes that are considered in poor condition.
How they can tell they have smelly pits I do not know though.0 -
I'm with Ian Dury on the philosophy of buying used clothes. In that the only things he would always buy from the shop were New Boots and Panties.0

And yours added value?
The idea of buying used shorts and bibs doesn't do much for me, especially as most folks go "commando".
Tops and jackets - generally no problem.0 -

Used Jerseys - Sure. Most of the jerseys I own are 2nd hand. Good chance to grab a bargain or a design that's no longer available.
Used bibs - No. It'd be like wearing 2nd-hand undies, no matter how many times they'd been washed. It's a hand across the sea I wouldn't want to shake.0 -

The second time you've mentioned my alcohol consumption, do you fancy me? Maybe PM in future.
I am certainly not a snob and certainly not averse to buying second hand but as someone alluded to earlier, wearing 2nd hand bib shorts is like wearing used underwear. I still cant get my head around why anyone would buy something second hand that was stained or smelly :?:, maybe we bikers are a different breed.Santa Cruz Blur XC
