Assos are Swiss right? Do I go to them for lederhosen bibshorts? Can you buy carbon fibre beer steins? Do rapha do moustache wax?

I am sartorially smitten!

Is that Bails? Having never met the chap, judging purely by his present and previous avatars I reckon that's him.

    Lovely city, Munich.

EDIT: how about bidons filled with Franziskaner and a couple of wuersts (how do I do umlauts?) in place of energy bars?

OP: Munich is in Germany, not Switzerland.

It's funny you should say because my girlfriend has a MSWord document, which her mum sent her, which has all the German ones in ready for CnPing! :D

Ha! Sorry scweiz - of course I know Munich is not in Switzerland :-) (I work for a Zurich company) I was just being flippant about sourcing lederhosen bibshorts and Assos came to mind. Should perhaps have said Cube or something :-)

    No need to copy and paste, just use the Alt key (may be different on a PC). Alt+U, then vowel of choice gives an umlaut-ed vowel. Alt+E, then E gives é, and so on. Alt+O = ø; Alt+A = å for the Scandinavians. Alt+S = ß; Alt+Q = œ or Œ; Alt+C = ç...

Nope, doesn't work on a PC like that RJS. I usually have to use 'insert character', my surname contains an a with an umlaut ä

you use Alt+ a combination of the numpad keys. If you look at the 'insert character' shortcuts, they are all there. A nightmare to remember

Actually it does (or appears to on my Win7 PC here). However you need to use the Alt Gr key (right hand key).

And so you should be sorry! It winds me up when people say "you've lived there so long that you'll be wearing lederhosen next!" which is not true, I wear an Edelweisshemd on work days and Sonntagstracht on a Sunday!:lol:

Hold down ALT then type the three digit ASCII code (http://www.asciitable.com/) of your chosen character release the ALT key.

    For example
    ALT 225 = ß
    or
    ALT 137 = ë
    or
    ALT 142 = Ä

Easy when you know how and it won't take you long to remember the various codes.....
