Bottom bracket cable guide

Just collecting the final few bits on my new build, I have purchased a plastic bb cable guide but it's profile does not fit that of my frame! Is it a case of heating it up and reshape? Or are there a variety of different
Types? If so how do I know which one is right for my bb housing
It's for a cheap Chinese carbon frame.

    Just a thought - dont be offended; have you tried turning it around, they only fit one way.

    Ha, Yes i have tried both ways, dont worry about offending me. Any tips gratefully welcome. Especially any that can point me in the direction of where to buy one thats moulded for a larger BB shell.

    I assume that you need a different one depending on the size of your BB as it needs to fit the curve.

    So one would suppose that a BB30 bike would require a different one to an English or Italian perhaps?

    I don't know about that but it would appear so, the frame has standard English thread bb but the actual frame it's self is quite chunk round the bb area I guess like other carbon frames as such the shape is a shallower curve. I tried googling bb cable guides but most seem to be the same as what I have. Is there on that's easier to shape to the frame profile??

    shimano do do quite a few variations of the guide. might be an idea to call your LBS and see what they have in.
