Hi All,

I'm looking to get a bike computer so I can roughly keep track of how far / fast I've cycled. Seems that pretty much everyone does the same model with and without cadence. So should I spend slightly more and buy one with a cadence sensor?

I don't really know how or what you do with cadence measurement. Is this something useful only to someone who takes training very seriously? Or can it be useful to me too?

I'm currently trying to get my fitness back after being off the bike for 3 months due to a broken collar bone. I'm hoping by measuring things like speed and distance I can see how I'm progressing and keep my motivation up. Other than that I'm taking the approach of more cycling = more fitness :) No real regime apart from that.

thanks Jai

No use at all on a mountain bike.

No. It's nice to have average speed if you want to measure your improvement on a training route though. How about a wireless cateye strada. Reliable.
