I'm just looking for a bit of advise, I am going to look at a Claude Butler Roubaix and just want to know if I'm getting a good deal or not. I'm not sure on the year of the model, but it is white in colour. The seller wants £200 for it, other than a small tear in the saddle it looks in pretty good nick.
Here are the specs for the bike:
Aluminium Alloy 6061 Frame with carbon front forks.
56cm frame size.
Very good condition with one wear / small tear on saddle.
Shimano Sora gears (15)
Toe clips
Wheels not buckled, never used in winter.
If anybody has any hints/tips/advice it would be most welcome!
Thanks

Hi JB,
As long as its the right size for you and in good condition then that sounds a reasonable buy. A brand Claud Butler with SORA gears/aluminium frame will be c£500 so its less than half that price.
If you could stump up a little more however then you can pick up new bike with a similar Spec from somewhere like Merlin cycles for around the £300 mark at the moment.
