Hi
I want to recycle an old pair of shimano 105 9 speed flight deck shifters to use on a bike I am building for my daughter.
The problem is that the hoods and one of the caps on the front have had it, anyone know where I can get replacements from ? I have been looking at the hudz ones also, but I can see nothing that will fit.

Thanks for any help
P

Thanks, but I don't think the 10 speed ones are the same size. Or am I wrong about that ?

Google around, you can certainly get them

Your 9sp 105 shifters are either Shimano model number ST-5500 or ST-5510 (peel back the rubber hood and it's moulded onto the plastic body of the shifter itself), so search for that

I'm pretty sure that the hoods are the same for all 9sp 105 and Ultegra, so you can get any which will fit ST-5500/5510/6500/6510

The caps however are different - all interchangeable but different design printed on.
And they're surprisingly expensive, about £11

I recently bought a 9sp Ultegra one from a shop in France which was way cheaper than UK
    - here's 105 ST-5510 http://www.xxcycle.com/php/boutique/pag ... &key=13787
(select little flag at top and you can get it to show in English and prices show in Euro or USD, they'll charge your card in Euros and took about 7 days to arrive for me)
