Wheel debate

Hi guys
Thoughts appreciated,
Iv got this bike http://www.trekbikes.com/ie/en/bikes/ro ... h2_compact
Iv ordered some Ksyrium equipe's in white, few reasons -
1 - standard wheels are generally thought of to be sheeeeet (is this true of mine?)
2 - weight (but I can't find the weight of mine so I don't know?)
3 - looks, they look good enough to eat
But is it worth my hard earned pennies, will I see/feel the benefit?
Thanks

you've ordered them now so a bit late if the response was 'its not worth it'
But it is worth it.

Loooool yh I can see your point, they can be sent back though if it's a waste of moneyOne plays football, tennis or golf, one does not play at cycling0 -
Great bike!
Personally, I would cancel them & stick with the standard wheels.
I know that loads of people rate the Mavic stuff very highly and they do look good, but to me they feel very harsh and unpleasant. As you have gone for a Madone (which feel firm yet supple), the Mavics may detract from the qualities of the frame.
Whilst the two wheel sets may feel very different, I doubt there will be any difference in average speed whatsoever.0 -
Waste of money, send them back and get some Mavic R-Sys0

they are ALOT of money
Yeah! I was just kidding on a serious note I'd get fulcrum 5's ...ridden some on my training/winter bike (so through the worst conditions) for 8-9,000 miles and never needed so much as a spoke re-tension, never really felt much flex either.0 -

Any ways Mr Ugo, your a wheel man arnt you? Do you do anything in this price range (in white) that would suit the bike? One plays football, tennis or golf, one does not play at cycling0 -
I have Mavic Equipes on my commuter - bang for buck they are very good in my opinion and yes they do make a big difference over most stock wheels on bikes under £1,200 - would have stretched to the elites for racing if I were you though.0

Thread hijacked.
I've got the DT Axis 2.0 wheelset that came with my Specialized tarmac -
I'm looking to upgrade my wheels in the near future, but am unsure of what wheels to purchase. My budget is not huge mind you. Any suggestions?0 -
