Decided I would go out for a quick blast after work. Just a 30 minuter before dinner,

Got totally soaked an battered by hailstones! But I made it up the big hill outside my house 6seconds faster than last time, must've been because of the crap weather I just had my head down!

Passed a few boys as I was on the way down hill an they were on the ascent, looking rather soaked as well, but still managed a smile and a nod to say hi! Gotta love the mutual roadie appreciation to one another :)

Anyways, thought I would share, came home and had my delicious chilli con carne... Warmed me up after getting drenched! Scotland = 4 seasons in one day! :D
It's been a while...

Nice loop with a few good hills, my nephew lives in Culloden and goes out that way a fair bit.

Time for the overshoes and waterproofs :-)

  • I tell you last night - you probably had the same weather as we did!! I couldn't believe it when I went up past Nairnside and it was sideways hailstones!

I was planning on taking the loop out to the airport and then back the old road and linking back up to the bottom road at Balloch but the weather was soooooo bad I just cut it short!

You're right - overshoes were needed - I wrung my socks out over the bath last night! LOL
