Clubs Local to Leatherhead

Hi,
I am a newbie to cycling, been going for 5 weeks now and now looking to join a club.
I am not unfit, I commute to work and do the longer ride on the weekend. Currently averaging around 16-17mph. Would this be good enough to join club runs?
I live on the borders of Leatherhead/Bookham. Can anyone recommend a good local club?

You could try http://www.charlottevillecc.org.uk/
Sunday rides 9am from Guildford Spectrum. There's a beginners ride first Sunday of the month, a long ride on the last Sunday and 40-55+ milers on ther Sundays. My solo rides average 16-17 mph so you should be fine.WyndyMilla Massive Attack | Rourke 953 | Condor Italia 531 Pro | Boardman CX Pro | DT Swiss RR440 Tubeless Wheels

I really think Cobham/Leatherhead area could do with its own club. Doesn't seem to be anything close by.
SWRC meet on Cobham.Jibbering Sports Stuff: http://jibbering.com/sports/0 -
Epsom CC has a reputation for being very friendly and well-run. There's Kingston Wheelers too, which is a little further from you. Speak to Brian Hill at Epsom CC - lovely chap. I'm not a member but see the guys around a lot.Raymondo

I would have thought SWRC would be quite convenient as they meet on Downside Rd in Cobham.
I'm not a member, but I'm thinking of joining.
Does anyone know what its like? Friendly club? Quite chilled?0 -

I'm up for the odd ride if that is interesting (leatherhead based) I mostly ride in the evening or early weekend mornings.
I'd normally be up for a ride this week, but I have an MTB enduro at the weekend, so am resting.0 -
