Need some recommendations for AAA Nimh batteries and places to look for them. Ideally 1000mah rating or higher please and cheap. Seemed to have lost all the batteries I've had or they were alkaline and been used.
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

I was going to suggest eneloops but the AAAs seem to be 800mah. Best rechargables you can get though.Mud - Genesis Vapour CCX
Race - Fuji Norcom Straight
Sun - Cervelo R3
Winter / Commute - Dolan ADX0 -
+1 for the Eneloops plus a decent charger (I have the TechnoLine BL700 which is excellent)0

I just ordered these

Eneloops, 8 batteries for £11.18
800 mAh, come charged, the AA ones I have have been really good. The charger charges both types. Should last several winters.
Edited to add: Beaten to the eneloop recommendation! Shows how popular they are though.- Genesis Croix de Fer

I tend to use 7dayshop for batteries. Might not perform quite as well as branded batteries, but have served me well and can work out quite a bit cheaper.
+1 for a decent charger (rapid chargers are not good for keeping your batteries in optimum condition).
If you spend £30 you can currently get a further 10% off.Nobody told me we had a communication problem0 -

Yeah - the thing is... a GOOD battery will be higher rated than shown and the poorer ones will soon degrade.
Personally I'd go for the eneloops and be sure of the 800mAh than go with cheaper 1000s, but that's just me.Chunky Cyclists need your love too! :-)

I've found the ones from http://www.vapextech.co.uk/acatalog/High_Power_Consumer_Batteries.html work well, the enloop equilvents are label new technology (green label not the red)0
