just booked 3 weeks to miami over xmas. My sister lives there, so im looking at exporting a bike to keep there so i can use it when i visit.
For anyone who doesnt know,,miami is flat, so theres not much point in a geared bike IMHO. I could of course just buy a bike when i get there, but id rather have it all sorted for when i arrive.
I can buy a "on one macinato" from planet x, vat free and get it sent direct to miami. I have no clue what would be the best gear ratio though, and also, should I pay extra for a free wheel or just stick with a fixie? ,my brother in law will want to use the bike when im not there, so im thinking a free wheel would be better for him (hes not a cyclist)

What gear ratio would you be in on the flat on a geared bike?
