Giant Defy 1

Hi,
Looks like I'm going to be buying a Giant Defy 1 2013. I was looking to buy a hybrid, maybe a Boardman Team or Pro but Halfords have none in stock
So has anyone had any experience with the Defy 1?? I just need some reassurances that I'm making a good decision as a £1000 is lot of money!
Opinions, advice and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
I've got a 2012 Giant Defy 0, which is essentially the same as a Defy 1 but with a triple chainset. Easily the best road bike I have ridden (and I've had a few), very pleased with my purchase,
