I did what must be the worst climb I have done today, absolute killer. Its called "the struggle" and goes from Ambleside to the top of kirkstone pass. Considering that until start of march this year, I hadn't been on a road bike since 1984, im pretty chuffed with my strava time.

cant quite work out how he did it in 17mins, he must be a pro or something. This guy takes over 8 mins in a landrover discovery http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u5BL_AIOOMM

I know the climb and it is some years since I did it. The course profile makes it look a lot flatter than it seems on the road. Good effort.

Wow! Out of interest, what crank gear combo did you use?
I ride a bike. Doesn't make me green or a tree hugger. I drive a car too.

Cheers. Worth the trouble and expense to change then I reckon.

Wow, nice climb. Looks of a similar profile to The Tumble down here.

  • The chap in second place is a hill climbing monster. I think he's in last week's Cycling Weekly.

    Good effort to the OP.
