Need some advice on selling wheels

First off I'm not selling anything here or asking what price I should charge. I looked at posting this in the classifieds but it didn't seem right as I don't know what I'm selling yet!
I've got a set of DT Swiss X1700 wheels (canyon specific but similar to the X1800s reviewed on here, and I want to sell them either as complete wheels or hubs on their own. Both rims have damage from a big hit off the same rock:
The rim wall is bent inwards in one place (on both wheels) to the point where it's almost pointing towards the hub (as a side point, I was running tubeless and neither lost any air  ). A shop took one look at them and said the rims were finished, so I replaced them with a nice set of hope pros on stan's arch ex rims. Anyway, what I want to know is should I sell them:
a) as hubs only (bearings are perfect)
b) as the full wheels as they are, for someone to replace the rims
c) attempt to repair them (still round, and only slightly out of true) and sell but with full details of what I'd done.
If this post should be in the classifieds then sorry and please move it. If anyone's interested then I'll put them up in there.

get some mole grips on them.
put some tubes and old tires on them and sell the lot."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Cheers Nick, must admit I'd always thought they could be repaired, but fancied a new set of wheels!2011 Canyon XC 8.0 (Monza Race Red)

'tis but a scratch.
Fix it and either sell them or keep as emergency spares/build a spare hack bike around them.Closet jockey wheel pimp whore.0 -
Pfffff, Kickingmule had at least a dozen dings like that once Richie had finished "testing" his bike out
Took us 5min, a vice, and an adjustable spanner to sort it. Good as new.
Just fix them, stick some road tyres on there for road work, or a turbo. Or use them as a starting point for another n+1 project.0 -
Agree with all the above... easy to chase out with an off-cut of wood trimmed to width of rim and a hammer... did the same with a similar size dink on some Bonty Race Lites.. still going strong and tubeless 12 months later0

My Canyon came with DT X1700 wheels and the rims are prone to dings. I sorted them out with a pair of Mole Grips with the jaws taped up to prevent marking. The metal is soft and doesnt need much tweaking to get them straight, sold them to a mate who is a lot lighter than me and he loves them.Fig rolls: proof that god loves cyclists and that she wants us to do another lap0

I use a massive adjustable spanner rather than molegrips- easier to get it true and doesn't mar the surface in the same way. That said, that's a big ol' dent and doesn't look like it's just in the rim of the rim, looks to be in the body too which isn't so good.
(the nice thing about DT being as soft as ***** is that they're easy to straighten and they tend not to show loads of nasty stress marks like harder rims do)
Personally I'd chase out the dents then sell them with an accurate description.Uncompromising extremist0 -
The dent was indeed in the body of the rim as well.
I managed to get them straight fairly easily (used adjustable spanner) but I think the metal had been bent beyond the point of no return because when it was straightened there was an obvious crease/crack at the base of where the bend had been. So the hubs are now for sale...
Think I'll be running higher pressures/looking where I'm going a bit more in future!2011 Canyon XC 8.0 (Monza Race Red)
