Now I am getting my confidence up and I am getting faster around the trails I can understand why people wear glasses. I have lost count of the number of flies I keep getting in my eyes and also my eyes tend to water a lot with the wind. So could do with getting myself some glasses.
Do I have to get specific cycling glasses or will any sunglasses be ok? Any recommendations would be great

Have a search on Ebay for Bolle safety glasses. Cheap, look ok, made to decent standards. I like the Silium model.I don't do smileys.

I always use safety glasses, Bolle ones both dark and clear, and just got some Dewalt ones too. As said they are cheap and can take the battering, also if you loose them you ain't gonna have to re-mortgage to get some replacements.
My Bolle ones are still going strong after 6 years of total abuse

+1 for the Bolle safety glasses. If you have a screwfix near you pick yourself a pair up for about 8.99. If you don't have a scewfix near you then order from their website. I use the contour slightly tinted ones http://www.screwfix.com/p/bolle-clear-l ... pecs/953820

Thanks for the recommendation0 -
I use my spare pair of prescription safety glasses from work, not the type that make you look like joe 90 but semi-decent all plastic wraparound jobbies But +1 for the bolle's as they make decent safety glasses.Boardman Fs Team
