Advice on a different option to Bantu

Just had a nightmare today, i went to buy a Voodoo Bantu for £365 today, but it turns out they are all out of the Bantu at the size i need. The nearest store ove found that has one is about 100 miles away.... and the staff say it could be a while before they get any more in stock......
I`m stuck now, i was interested in the Carrera Vulcan , but i`m not sure after hearing the brakes and fork arn`t as good as the Bantu, and it`s heavier. It`s also coming in at 20 quid more expensive, so i`m really not sure if it`s worth the money. My other option is the rockrider 5.3 , but i`m worried if i get that, ill constantly be thinking i should have got somthing at bit better. I would like the 8.1 , but i`m not willing to go to £500 for my 1st bike, if it turns out i don`t end up sticking to riding.
Would the extra 20 quid for a seemingly worse spec Vulcan still be a good option for me here?

Given that the 5.3 is better than the Vulcan, I'd go for that.0

Oh, really? i thought being much cheaper, at £300 quid, the spec would be quite a bit lower. Thanks, i`ll settle for that, and look to upgrade later on if i get into it.0

The fork is better, but the discs not as good. But I'd take the better fork - even cheap hydros can be got for £70 should you need them.0
