Cannondale Synapse 4 2006??

Hi,
i'm new to road cycling and looking to buy my first bike soon. I've always bought slightly older, second hand bikes as i think you can get a better quality machine for less.
I've seen a 2006 Cannondale Synapse 4 for sale but can't really find much info on it. If anybody has any advice on wether it a good beginner bike i would be very grateful. Looking to use it for fitness rather than anything too serious.

Have a '96 Kona Cindercone with mostly XTR components and Bomber Z2 forks in reasonable condition (scrapes but no dents) going on ebay in the next day or so. If you or anyone you know is interested give me a shout.
Oh and i would prefer pick up but that can be from Exeter area or bristol. (courier can be arranged but probably be £25 ish)
