Dented rim - am i ok to still keep using it?

Hi All,
I've dented the rim on my rear wheel. just wondering if the damage is low enough for me to just bent the rim back and continue using or should bin it and get new rim?

Give it a try with some pliers and see what happens. As long as the tyre seats on the rim it should be fine. I know people still riding wheels with MUCH worse dents than that.0

tis but a scratch! just carefully bend it back part way so as not to fatigue it and ride on.0

Dont use pliers! Use an adjustable spanner instead. If you must use pliers, do it through a rag, or even better cut a small bit of milk bottle (plastic not glass) to use as a shield from the plier's grip.A Flock of Birds

Not an issue. I have quite a few in each wheel. Check there's no flat-spot too.0

I dinted my rim visually no way near as bad as that, but have a flat spot on the wheel. The local lbs told me it should be ok, but if I dint it in another place, bin it.0
