Very close call this morning

I have read a few topics on here about idiots trying to push cyclists off their bike etc. Well this morning on my way to work I had a new experience.

I was about 5 mins from work, minding my own business doing around 17mph when I see 3 little t**ts hanging around in a bush near the side of the road. Didn't think anything of it until one of them threw a stick/log through my front wheel causing me to go over the handle bars. I was so angry and pumped on adrenaline I chased the 3 little see you next tuesdays and well you can make up your own mind as to what happened.

Btw I call them "little" they were about 18-19.

I now have a broken front wheel and skin missing from my arm but hey ho, could of been worse.

This happened to anyone else?

    ...they beat you up??
  • I'd suggest two things -
    1) Reporting it to the police if you haven't already,
    2) Letting us know where it happened. If there's a chance of a repeat I'd like to know if it's likely to be near me please.

Otherwise, while it sucks that it happened it sounds like you go off pretty lightly for an endo. Recover well and stay safe.

haha. no, even if they did I was beat up enough from the fall.

It happened in the Epsom area. Near the cricketers pub at about 06:50 (Surprised they were up that early!!!)

I'm assuming they got away as 3 of them would have probably pummelled you. Such is the sad state of the youth of today.

    Why?

    Do you know the gooner?

Do you know anything about "the youth of today"?

I assumed it was you because he was riding on the road and you could not overtake

Because without knowing gooner I am left to 'guess' the most likely outcome (he said to make up your own mind what happened).

    See above.

    Yes. Yes I do.

So you think the likely outcome is gunner knocked them all out?

Easy lads, its not about that. Dont care what people think I did, but i'd rather not blast about what I did all over the internet.

Anyways. I posted this more to keep people aware of kn*b heads hanging around in bushes! :D

    Did you make them pregnant?
I ride a bike. Doesn't make me green or a tree hugger. I drive a car too.

Wouldnt call that a close call, more like a Bugger it did happen, hope you are OK and not to much damage to the bike
  • I know where you can buy pepper spray, maybe I'll start making fram holsters for them. I'm sure every roadie will be interested!

Honestly though, the UK is going to shit. Lawless chavs running around doing anything they can get away with. Bring back police brutality...

If they were associated with Tottenham they would have promised to deliver early on but ultimately failed miserably to achieve any real success.

OOh such tribal jealousy. :D How's that 17 year old Ukranian(?) goalkeeper you signed in the transfer window? That should replace RVP quite well.

Sadly t&&ts like this frequently dodge any consequence for their actions which seems to have removed any sense of accountability or thought of consequence.

Personally I'd be tempted to try a couple of outings in the car to that location at around the same time and see if I happened upon the friendly scamps..

Epsom doesn't have chavs; it is Surrey after all.

They are 'ne'er-do-wells' according to my local sources.
