Chain stretch and cassette damage

Just checked my chain and I have over 1% stretch. Am I asking for trouble keeping the old cassette or should I just stump up for a new one at the same time that I replace the chain?

Yep, you 'could' end up causing damage to jockey wheels and your chainrings so I would, just to be safe.0

^That's if you haven't replaced either. If you've replaced the chain, and not the cassette, the new chain will wear much more quickly so it's worthwhile replacing the cassette too.0

I'd just change the chain and see how you get on.0
