Have a Scalpel - Hub change/upgrade possible?

Have a Scalpel 29r. Was wondering if can upgrade since I think the rear does not engage as fast as when I rode with Chris King's - different bike. Might be a misperception, but I don't think it is. :?

A whole new wheel would be most cost effective, as delacing, buying a new hub, rebuilding (maybe with new spokes) costs a lot.0

Personally I dont think speed of engagement makes a whole load of difference, although the CK ring drive does sound cool. Im currently bashing around on a Superstar Tesla, which is proving fast in engagement, and reliable. a whole wheel will be way less than a CK hub.A Flock of Birds

You'd need to find out the engagement of each hubs. I think the DF has 24 points, ie every 15 degrees. CK hubs are a lot more, up to 72 (or 120), but I think are heavy and over priced.0
