Canyon unboxing/build.

9 days after ordering my Canyon arrived this morning. The UPS man arrived first thing with the following box.
I took it outside, got my tool box and bike stand and got ready.
The bike is packed very well.
I put it up on the stand very lightly. You're not supposed to clamp carbon so it was just enough pressure to stop it tipping, not enough to do any wrenching on.
As you can see the stays are well protected with no chance of sideways compression damaging the frame. It's just a bit of chipboard held in place with the rear skewer. Ingenious.
The wheel comes with the cassette protected and a dork disc attached.
I quickly whipped of the cassette and dork disc before reassebling and putting it on the bike.
Next I added the front wheel and the bottle cages. I treated myself with these.
Handlebars were up next. Canyon supply a torque wrench, so it's a simple job. I was worried that the front and rear brakes would be continental style, but they're done UK style to that saved me a job.
All that was left to do was put on the seat post and take the final photo.
The bike roughly fits, but the bars need adjusting down a little and the seat height needs tuned. However, it's almost bang on already.

I should have listed it, but this isn't the cheaper PRO. It's the LTD on super record with the R-Sys SLR.
But they do look almost identical.0 -

Yeah I noticed the super record. Couldn't remember the name of the slightly cheaper one though."Unfortunately these days a lot of people don’t understand the real quality of a bike" Ernesto Colnago0 -

How does the SR ride? I am thinking of building a bike up with the same group set and potentially same wheels.Cannondale SS Evo Team

The Boras stickers are on top of the clear coat and come off really easily but they are very glossy. Either mavic CCU, LW or what you have would look bestInsta: ATEnduranceCoaching

Dunno yet, only ridden it around the car park. I've got a dissertation to finish so no time to ride. Which sucks, as the weather looks ace.0 -

Yet another bike on these here pages that gets a 'woof!' from me!

It seems to me that some bikes are made for certain group sets and Canyon and Campag always seem to go so well together.
Absolutely beautiful.
