  • The bike looks decent and reasonable value but what do you want it for?

Commuting obviously, but what sort of distance and do you intend to get out on weekends, aspire to do some longer rides, maybe a bit of touring etc?

Hybrids are suitable for some people but large numbers of people buy a hybrid initially (because they think road bikes are “delicate” and that hybrids will offer “the best of both worlds”) and then realise a road type bike is actually better suited to their needs.
  • I would like to start riding to work which is about 7 miles each way.
Also do some riding at the weekends. I have a Scott Aspect mountian bike which i use at the moment on and off road but would like something a bit suited for road use.
I have never had a road bike with drop bars so not sure how i would get on with them.
Any advice will be very welcome.

Growing up in the 70's and 80's I'm shocked that Allegro and Elite can be combined in the same sentance.
