Cap Thing for Non Drive Side...

Please excuse the technical language above. I need the little cap thing that screws into the non drive side end of the crank for the FSA cranks on my Cannondale CAAD8... I tried to fit a Shimano one assuming the fit would be the same but apparently not... Anyone know where I can get an FSA cap? I'm not sure what to look up on the net as I don't know the technical term for them...

You mean one of these or the rubber thingy that goes inside the allen slot?

Yes I think that's it... It goes over the hole at the centre of the crank on the non drive side....Do not write below this line. Office use only.0 -

what are the cranks?
and the bolt has a jib to do. eith hold the crank on or to preload the bearings."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

The bike is a Cannondale CAAD8 from 2010 and the cranks are FSA Omega (I think it said on them)... It looks like there are a lot of choices! Currently there's no cap, the cranks don't seem loose, I hope I'm not doing any damage riding it without...Do not write below this line. Office use only.0 -
If it's the same FSA ones as mine and my son's then the bolt does the same job as the star-fangled-nut/bolt thing on the headset. Brings it up snug but it's the pinch bolts that keep it there. So unless you plan to remove the crank, you'll be OK. For now.
Pop into an LBS with it and they may give you one for free.0 -

It came undone?
I may have read this as Krankie in a cap rather than cap for a crank :oops:Nobody told me we had a communication problem0 -
Like wot everybody else said. That's where I got mine when the same thing happened.
Crank won't come loose as long as you don't loosen the pinch bolts holding it on. Works in the same way as the stem, cap preloads the bearings and the pinchbolts hold it on.0 -
