Anyone know of a good stem mount for light on a road bike?

Evening all.
I wanted to see if anyone can point me in the right direction.
After a few years flying around on a boardman hybrid I've just bought a very nice Cube Peloton SL and loving it so far. However, I'm struggling with the lack of real estate on the cockpit to fit my usual torch and bracket, so I was wondering how other roadies get around this lack of space?
Also, does anyone know of a good stem mounted light (to see as opposed to being seen)? I've come up blank on t'internet so far.
Over to you.
Cheers.

Computer on stem... light on bar. What else do you need?
If not you could cut up the light's original mount and epoxy it to a Garmin mount -> Adjusting it could be a problem though.0 -
Nice one. I haven't watched blue peter in many a moon to prepare me, but I might give it a try.
I was more thinking of a light that is directly attached to the faceplate of the stem (for cleaner looks and all that).

Twin lights on the bars, either side of the stem. Looks good, looks neat and you always have backup. And you are more visible with one flashing and one fixed.Faster than a tent.......0 -
Have a Topeak Bar Xtender in the post to cope with all the winter kit 2xlights etc. and let me keep my hands near the stem.0

I may be a minority of one but that doesn't prevent me from being right.

Thanks for the link. One of these will defintely do the trick.
Actually, on my communte in this morning I relasied where my problem lies. When I was stopped at a red light I checked out my set up against that of another cyclist on a road bike besides me (two cyclist stopping at a red light? It must be Christmas). Anyway, I've got an Easton EA30 Aero bar with a large flat section to rest your palms on. This section extends quite close to the middle of the bar which means that in conjuction with the bar and electrical tape there is only 1.5 inches (ooeer missus) of space either side of the stem.

I know this thread is old...from 2012 even... But, Yessss, I have finally found a great stem mount for handlebar lights! .....check this out....
Nite Ize HandleBand...designed as a cell phone mount for the stem, but works fabulously for holding both my Magicshine 900w or my 3500 lumen Chinese-knockoff. https://www.niteize.com/product/HandleBand.asp
So easy, flexible and rugged. Perfect...really.
Hope it helps.0 -
Exposure light and Garmin Combo mount with the Exposure light under the mount on a raceware direct bracket or go with a helmet might.I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.0
