Will you be torn between the two?0

Are you sure about that?0

In what way?
His wins in cobbled classics?
His cocaine consumption?
His fan base of short Dutch men?0 -
Nah, you wait till Tyler Farrar is back to his best next season. He'll be hoovering up all the major classics....KBK, Schlederprijs, Vatenfall etc."I have a lovely photo of a Camargue horse but will not post it now" (Frenchfighter - July 2013)0
-
You may need to expand then. Do you see him attacking 30km out in P-R, or do you mean in a straight-up sprint they are broadly similar in pace i.e. much slower than the 1st tier of sprinters.0

Ahh, you mean a "classics rider who can sprint a bit TM"0 -

His Vuelta was impressive.
He was 5th in M-SR, and 6th in E3 this year.
He's even got a similar sprinting style. *bouncey head*
And he's only 23.0 -

They're the guys that win.
Rather than Cancellara who needs to bring out more or less THE BEST RIDER EVER every time he wants to win a classic. When he doesn't he's #2, ala M-SR.0 -

British Cycling should give you a job as a talent spotter
So far hasn't really done anything that Cavendish hasn't done in my opinion."I have a lovely photo of a Camargue horse but will not post it now" (Frenchfighter - July 2013)0 -

Yeah but Bernie got 3rd in E3 this year and that almost counts as a Cav win0 -

Not if he's going to talent spot Germans.0 -

But that was a race where a a pretty big bunch came to the line, including some fairly ordinary riders. Eisel was on the podium, do you think he can win Flanders?"I have a lovely photo of a Camargue horse but will not post it now" (Frenchfighter - July 2013)0 -

Give him 5 or so years to mature.
That big ass of hiss will help him on the cobbles.
I think it's too early to tell that, lots of riders promise much but never mature as well as you think they are going to. Winning lots of stages in the Vuelta is a million miles away from winning monuments.
I'm off home now on the bike, will practice my wobbly head sprinting and poking my bum out, then maybe I can win Flanders."I have a lovely photo of a Camargue horse but will not post it now" (Frenchfighter - July 2013)0 -
I think Farrar is more likely to win a cobbled classic (or even a semi classic) before either Degenkolb or Cavendish.0

Either way you'll get my attention .
I'm just putting it out there. Cards on the table. No bullsh!t.
We'll see.0 -

Don't forget to say "Ja" alot to the wife when you get home as well...0 -
Maybe... he is looking in his best form ever.. made to look better by not really having much a of a challenge in the Vuelta sprints. Viviani was off his game, Swift is second tier and Bennati is past his best. But still impressive. He's always ridden well in the classics and doesn't mind the tough stuff. I think he's much better suited to QS than Cav... Tomke could teach him a thing or two.0

Surely it's time Farrar has to up his game? Would be good to see him get a big winter in and come into next year going well.0

Brian Holm, who worked with him at HTC, said on Eurosport that Degenkolb, in fact, would be a Boonen type of within few years.0

Lots of riders say that, not many actually do it."I have a lovely photo of a Camargue horse but will not post it now" (Frenchfighter - July 2013)0 -

Worked for the Olympic team sprint squad
I think Degenkolb is going to be the new EBH (or is that Sagan) Really he's more like Thor than any other current rider I would say, can win bunch sprints against the best on tougher finishes or harder routes and may well go on to do well in the flatter classics as he matures.0 -
Well...he showed something huge yesterday. Fourth on that course against that company for a 'sprinter' is supreme.Contador is the Greatest0
